We raised £40,000 to save our store!
Sonia Andrews has owned and run the village shop in Kennerleigh, Mid Devon, for 25 years, and in that time residents have come to rely on the store for many of their day to day needs.So when Mrs Andrews announced earlier this year that she was planning to retire and put the property on the market, villagers launched a fundraising appeal to buy it for the community.They are now celebrating a successful campaign after hitting their target amount of almost £40,000 in just a matter of months.
